ROLLING ON THE RIVER

Multi-Michelin-starred French chef Alain Ducasse is set to launch a river cruise along the Seine in Paris this month, on which guests can enjoy a 90-minute lunch or dinner. Called Ducasse sur Seine, this river cruise-cum-culinary experience launches on 4 September and will take in Paris’s most famous sites such as the Louvre and Eiffel Tower, with a boat journey that starts and ends at Port Debilly, in the 16th arrondissement. Along the way, diners on the 200-capacity vessel, which is entirely electric, will be able to choose from a selection of menus, starting with three courses for EUR100, up to a special five-course meal with champagne, wines and a gift to take away for EUR500. It’s the first new river dining cruise to launch on the Seine in 10 years and, although no details of the menu have been released yet, with Ducasse involved, you know to expect something extra special.
