Ramadhan Buffet at Sofitel Kuala Lumpur

Sofitel Kuala Lumpur’s Ramadhan buffet spread is sure to tantalise your tastebuds.

The hotel’s ‘Destinasi Rasa Serantau,’ Ramadhan Buffet will take you on a culinary journey across Malaysia’s 13 states featuring comfort food and traditional dishes. Take the opportunity this Ramadhan to indulge in a variety of local food and sample each state’s unique way of preparing Malaysian food. Our country’s diverse culture influences our flavours with Malaysian staples taking inspiration from Malay, Chinese and Indian dishes.

Ramadhan Menu

This buffet offers you traditional Itik Salai Masak Lemak Chilli Padi, smoked duck is cooked in a spicy coconut broth, a popular dish of Negeri Sembilan origin. The buffet also offers Sabahan dishes such as  Manuk Pansuh, chicken cooked in a bamboo stalk. Head over to their Perak station to sample Rendang Tok Batu Kikir,  beef short ribs is braised for six hours in coconut gravy and Malay spices.

From the state of Pahang, Udang Galah Masak Di Raja is the star, giant river prawns are sourced directly from the state’s main river for this dish. In addition, Sofitel also takes you on a journey through a historical journey to discover Melaka’s  Asam Pedas Ekor Lembu,  ox-tails is slow-cooked in a spicy and sour broth.

The must-try dish from the Ramadhan buffet is the Otak-Otak Lobster made from Asian fish mousseline and lobster,  wrapped in a banana leaf parcel. Another staple of any Ramadhan Buffet not to be missed is the Kambing Bakar, a whole marinated lamb slowly roasted over charcoal served with black pepper sauce.

Enjoy your dinner with the company of a traditional Gamelan performance by a percussion orchestra originating from Indonesia.

Dining Information

The Ramadhan buffet is priced at RM128 per adult and RM64 per child from April 3rd – 10th and April 25th- May 1st. From April 11th to April 24th the Ramadhan buffet is priced at  RM178 per adult and RM89 per child.

Kwee Zeen is offering a 20% early bird discount for bookings before April 1. Destinasi Rasa Serantau buffet dinner is also available at the Wau Bulan Ballroom from April 11th – 24th for only RM98.

For Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house, Kwee Zeen offers you a delightful feast for the whole family. Group bookings and open house packages are available from RM108 per adult and RM54 per child in a private function room from May 3rd- 8th.
