What better way to usher in the fall than with a new menu of seasonal dishes and ingredients that truly show the beauty of the season? Though the Pumpkin Spice Latte might be the go-to fall themed beverage of choice, in the tropical climate of Singapore, Morton’s The Steakhouse presents autumn through special premium cuts of wagyu, truffle everything and decadent sides for a hearty meal to last you through the chilly nights.
The stars of the seasonal menu is the two new cuts of wagyu that this American-style steakhouse has yet to serve, which are the Black Truffle & Porcini-Crusted Center-Cut Wagyu Filet and the “Gold Label†Wagyu New York Medallion. These cuts of premium wagyu beef, both sourced from the famed Snake River Farms, are cooked to perfection. The 7oz Wagyu Filet receives a dusting of decadent black truffle zest and porcini mushroom seasoning, before being broiler and topped with roasted, balsamic shallot butter. The Gold Label Medallion on the other hand, is simply broiled and topped with the house’s signature au jus, to let all 10oz of superior marbling, flavour and texture of the beef take the centre stage.
To accompany the hearty cuts of wagyu, diners can sit down to starters that include the Fall Burrata Salad, featuring burrata cheese, brussel sprouts and butternut squash, all quintessentially autumn produce, tossed with basil pesto, crispy prosciutto bits and toasted pine nuts. The Gnocchi with Gorgonzola Cream is another perfect accompaniment or a choice for something meat-free, as the rich flavours and creamy textures are balanced by a hint of lemon zest to make it the ultimate hearty, comforting dish.
Morton’s The Steakhouse is world-renowned for bringing the American-style steakhouse experience to local shores. Located in the Mandarin Oriental Singapore, the steakhouse has been classic cuts of filet mignon, ribeye and New York strip, complementary sides, decadent chocolate cakes, premium wines and everything in between since 1998.
