There is much to do in Margaret River. Located 280km south of Perth, this hotspot of bounty and beauty keeps you well occupied: oenophiles, do take note that there are 220 wine producers in the region that produce, collectively, a quarter of Australia’s premium wines. Vineyards aside, nature in Margaret River is bold and beckoning – from the Boranup Karri Forest, part of the Leeuwin- Naturaliste National Park, to the remarkable number of surf breaks off the coast and spectacular cave networks. And, of course, the food here, all proudly local and seasonal, will never disappoint.
