Two Michelin-starred chef Pere Planagumà will take charge of The Brasserie at The St Regis Kuala Lumpur for one exclusive weekend beginning this Friday. Having worked alongside the legendary Ferran Adrià of elBulli and the Roca brothers of El Celler de Can Roca, Planagumà is head chef of the renowned Les Cols in the mountains of Girona, Spain, where he has developed a cuisine that is rooted in the elements of the landscape around him. With a cooking style that employs light yet essential ingredients, Planagumà ’s signature dishes include white beans from Pau, frozen cottage cheese with basil and anchovy, and salted cod brandade with Muscat grapes.
During his takeover of The Brasserie, Planagumà will take inspiration from three of The St Regis Kuala Lumpur’s specially commissioned art installations – Mark Evans’ leather mural Grace Thunders, Fernando Botero’s monumental sculpture Horse and Barnaby Hoskings’ three-dimensional Birds and Butterflies. This culinary journey that brings art to live is available for both lunch and dinner. Visit the hotel’s website for more details.
