Chef Darren Chin creates a multi-sensory cognac experience for Hennessy XO Odyssey

Seven-course menu revolves around Hennessy XO’s tasting notes

Following the successful of last year’s edition, Hennessy XO Odyssey returns this month to stimulate and delight the palates of Malaysia’s most discerning epicures. Sharing centre stage with Hennessy XO this time around will be Chef Darren Chin of DC Restaurant in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, who has crafted an immersive experience that captures the essence of the cognac by articulating its seven tasting notes of complex flavours and rich contours, from the opening ‘Sweet Notes’ and ending with ‘Chocolate Lull’. The seven-course meal, paired with Hennessy XO, of course, will be an eclectic mix that encompasses texture, flavour combinations and respect for terroir, a menu that is, at once, bold, luxurious and unforgettable.

INFINITE ECHO Takao cold somen with Ogawa Bafun Uni and truffle celeriac cream.

WOOD CRUNCHES spring Galician octopus with green gazpacho.

SPICY EDGE Snow crab consommé infused with lemon balm.

FLOWING FLAME organic chicken, bertutu spice, celeriac-carotene sauce.

RISING HEAT Italian veal poached in milk and lightly grilled foie gras.
