Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has teamed up with Power-Up (P.UP) by Nazamax Malaysia to bring a new level of convenience to electric vehicle (EV) ownership. The result is the MB Platinum 5 plan, an exclusive mobile EV charging service for Mercedes-Benz EQ customers.
Through this partnership, P.UP’s mobile charging vans can now deliver power directly to where it’s needed – whether customers are at home, at work, or out and about. Equipped with 120kWh DC fast chargers, the vans can top up an EV to 80% without the driver even needing to be present.
Positive Charge For EV Ownership
Each MB Platinum 5 subscription includes five mobile charging sessions per month, along with added perks like a hand wash, vacuuming, tyre shine, and up to RM5 in parking fees per visit. Customers can choose from 1, 6, or 12-month plans and book their sessions easily through the P.UP mobile app.
“This is all about making EV ownership easier and more enjoyable,” said Edmin Naidoo, Vice President of Customer Services at Mercedes-Benz Malaysia & SEA II. “Our collaboration with P.UP reflects our ongoing commitment to deliver not just premium vehicles, but also smart, convenient solutions that support Malaysia’s EV growth.”
The service first launched as a pilot in Penang in September 2024. It has since expanded to the Klang Valley with three operational vans and will be available in Johor Bahru by early 2026. Plans are already in place to roll it out across Peninsular Malaysia in the second half of next year.
According to P.UP CEO SM Fauzi Dato Hj SM Shalahuddin, feedback from Mercedes-Benz EQ customers has been extremely positive. “We’re solving real challenges EV owners face and making charging as simple and accessible as possible,” he said.
As Malaysia moves towards a more sustainable future, services like this help remove everyday barriers to EV adoption—reinforcing Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s vision of offering the Luxury of Choice, with a full range of ICE, PHEV, and BEV models supported by flexible, customer-first services.
