04: OMEGA SPEEDMASTER 38.6 MM
Although initially created for the motor racers on land, the Omega Speedmaster is widely associated as the watch that went to the moon. Your father probably remembers the moon landing far better than you do (some of you weren’t even born) and for most, the moon landing was an invitation to dream big. The Omega Speedmaster 38.6mm is part of a trilogy of watches designed to celebrate the year 1957, when these now-classic watches were born. The original Speedmaster was the first ever wrist chronograph to have the tachymeter scale printed on the bezel and every Speedmaster since followed that lead. For the tribute watch, Omega even brought back the iconic ‘broad arrow’ hands of the original.
