Milan Fashion Week is currently in full swing, where fashion houses are debuting their latest collection. But you don’t need to be in Milan to be part of the festivities, as more often than not you’ll be able to catch a livestream of these fashion shows right as it happens. This evening, Italian luxury leather goods fashion house Tod’s will take to the runway to showcase their Fall-Winter 2020 collection.
The Fall-Winter 2020 will be the first runway show from the new creative director of Tod’s men and women’s collection, Walter Chiapponi. Formerly of Gucci, Valentino and Bottega Veneta, Chiapponi’s FW 2020 collection will mark a new start for the brand, as the world waits to see what the new creative director will bring to the table. Chiapponi takes over from Andrea Incontri, the former menswear lead, and Alessandra Facchinetti, head of womenswear, who left their posts in 2019 and 2016 respectively. In Spring, we’ve already had a little taste at what Chiapponi can bring to the table, through his redesign of the house’s ‘T’ hardware, so it’ll be interesting to see what other changes he’ll bring to the heritage fashion label.
