Diageo’s Special Releases Collection features eight cask-strength single malt Scotch whiskies from some of Scotland’s most renowned distilleries.

Diageo’s ‘Rare by Nature’ inspired Special Releases Collection is a carefully selected line up of single malt Scotch whiskies from some of Scotland’s most renowned distilleries. Culled from Diageo’s most precious stocks maturing in Scotland, the collection celebrates whiskies with distinctive maturation techniques, rare finishes and unexpected taste profiles, with the cask-strength bottlings bringing to life each distillery’s unique character.

Featuring expressions from famous, to supreme examples of the lesser known and even closed distilleries, the bottlings are all extremely rare and sought-after whiskies. With an ABV range of 51.4% to 58.4%, each whisky delivers a different journey of discovery. The whiskies have been selected by master blender, Dr Craig Wilson, and each one tells a story of the extraordinary place and the people who have shaped each dram.

The Special Releases Collection includes an 18YO Cardhu, 30YO Dalwhinnie, 26YO Mortlach, 15YO Talisker as well as a remarkable double-matured 19YO from now Pittyvaich, a now closed distillery in Speyside. There is also an 18YO Singleton, which is available from Boozeat for RM580 per 700ml bottle. Purchases of the full collection can be made through Moet Hennessy Diageo Malaysia at [email protected]. Mortlach 26 Year Old; from Dufftown, Speyside; distilled in 1992; matured in fresh-toasted first fill Pedro Ximenez & Oloroso sherry seasoned casks; ABV of 53.3%

 

Dalwhinnie 30 Year Old; from Dalwhinnie, Highland; distilled in 1987/1988; matured in refill casks of high peating levels; ABV of 54.7%

Pittyvaich 19 Year Old; from Dufftown, Speyside (closed distillery); distilled in 1989; matured in Pedro Ximenez & Oloroso sherry seasoned bodega casks; ABV of 51.4%

Cardhu 14 Year Old; from Knockando, Speyside; distilled in 2004; double matured in ex-Amontillado hogsheads; ABV of 55.0%

Singleton 18 Year Old; from Muir of Ord, Highland; distilled in 2000; matured in fresh charred American oak hogsheads; ABV of 55.0%

 

Talisker 15 Year Old; from Carbost, Isle of Skye; distilled in 2002; matured in freshly charred American oak hogsheads; ABV of 57.3%

 

Lagavulin 12 Year Old; from Port Ellen, Islay; distilled in 2006/2007; matured in refill American oak casks of high peating levels; ABV of 56.5%

 

Cragganmore 12 Year Old; from Ballindalloch, Speyside; distilled in 2006; matured in medium peated, refill American oak casks; ABV of 58.4
