Billnäs Gård’s commitment to sustainability echoes in its décor, design, and gardens. The interior, crafted by a Finnish-based design professional, Taina Snellman-Langenskiöld, emphasises natural materials, a color palette inspired by nature, vintage furniture, and timeless design classics.
Vintage and second-hand pieces elegantly intertwine with modern furniture classics, forming a captivating blend that resonates throughout the space. The graceful interplay of William Morris wallpapers with Alvar Aalto design icons speaks volumes about the carefully curated aesthetic.
Adding a touch of softness, locally woven rugs and fabrics create an inviting tactile experience. Pasi Kärkkäinen-Tunkelo, a contemporary Finnish designer, leaves his mark with unique brass glass lighting, casting a gentle glow that elevates the ambiance of the living spaces.
Each of the six guest rooms in the villa showcases distinct visuals and ambiance. The well-thought-out guest rooms cater to various needs, with two equipped with kitchenettes, a play corner in the “Studio Blue” room for children, and even a room specially designed for canine companions. Family experiences are curated with meticulous detail, including babysitting services, toys, and games.
Step into The Nest room, where you’ll be greeted by a charming river view, your very own private balcony, and a bathtub that offers a serene outlook onto the vibrant garden. The lower garden offers a connection to wild nature and the river, where guests can enjoy activities like Stand-Up Paddling or rowing.
