Light up the sky

Christmas messages sent by text illuminate the Martin Place Christmas Tree in Sydney’s CBD.

Despite the heat, decorative street light displays are an annual tradition across the state, with homes and streets lit up with thousands of festive lights. Starting from December 6th the small town of Leeton offers up a splendid sight of over 200 homes decked out in twinkling fairy lights and decorations to welcome in the spirit of the season with the “Light up Leeton” event. There’s also a “Christmas Lights Spectacular” running from November 8th to January 26th, in Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley for thematically illuminated garden displays that will forever imprint themselves in your mind.

So make your own Christmas memories in Australia, and do away with the wintry wonderland of old when one can always find warmth, hearty meals and the holiday spirit, all the way down under.
