The ambiance and deÌcor within Crockfords Hotel might represent the pinnacle of luxury atop Genting Highlands, but the real treasure of the establishment lie within its people. Even before you walk through the doors of the hotel, everything is crafted to provide you, the guest, with the most exclusive experience, as expected of a hotel of Crockfords’ calibre; but what was unexpected were the fact that each of the employees encountered within the hotel never felt like they were doing this ‘just as a job’.
Discreet and bespoke, the hotel is hidden at a yet unexplored part of the Genting Highland expanse but still close enough to be within reach of the main entertainment spots. Then again, if ‘gaming’ is what you are looking for in Genting, there is an elevator that leads directly from the hotel to a private games room reserved only for its Platinum card members.
Drawing inspiration from the grandeur of English luxury, Crockfords is modelled after Genting Malaysia’s exclusive club in Mayfair, London. The 140 rooms and suites are constructed with the finest materials but what truly takes your breath away is the stunning mountain views enhanced by the slowly rolling mist. While the standard rooms range from 500 to 1,000 sq ft, there are 18 signature suites decorated in three themes, cleverly incorporating either gym, an automated mahjong table or a Japanese tea ceremony area.
