Ducati is to motorcycles what Ferrari is to cars. It is about power, prestige and pedigree, and this has created a huge following for the fabled brand around the globe. What rolls out of the maker’s stable inevitably sets pulses racing among its legion of fans, and it is no different for the Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro, unveiled for the first time in the country at the recent Singapore Motor Show 2019.
This adventure bike began life in 2010 as a 1200cc machine, and an Enduro variant was introduced three years ago. The 1260 version is a more complete “ four bikes in one†– urban, sport, touring and off -road – beast that gets a functional facelift with a new engine and suspension, and the latest electronics. It makes the bike more enjoyable, accessible and intuitive, on and off road.
Packing a slew of the latest electronics, the 1260 is also able to recalibrate the engine and suspension when the bike is switched from on-the-road to off-track terrain modes. The result is a smoother, safer and a lot more exciting ride on the twists and turns of all track conditions.
The Multistrada 1260 Enduro will be available in Singapore in Q2 of 2019.

01 RACING PEDIGREE
Ducati’s history of making motorbikes began in 1950, when its 50cc Cucciolo established 12 speed records. The following year, the 100cc variant broke 24-hour speed and endurance records. For seven decades, Ducati has made its mark in all major categories of motor racing, including the prestigious Isle of Man TT and MotoGP series.
02 DUCATISTI
The Italian maker’s success on track has attracted a huge cult following around the globe. Fans call themselves Ducatisti and meet every two years in Misano, Italy, for World Ducati Week. The 2018 edition saw over 90,000 participants from five continents and 73 countries. Some, like Ken Lu and Lv Fe from Xinjiang, rode in on their Ducatis.
03 CONNECTING WITH THE YOUNG
Keen to introduce the brand to a new generation of riders, Ducati will open a motorcycle-themed amusement park this year in Ravenna, Emilia-Romagna. The 35,000 sq m Ducati World will boast a roller coaster where riders can control the speed of the motorcycle on rails – in this case a replica of the Panigale V4 – as well as motorcycle virtual reality simulators.
