To improve the handling and comfort of the all-new 3 Series, new shock absorber technology, the lift-related dampers have been developed and used for the first time in a BMW model. The dampers function by continuously variable and adjusts the damper firmness progressively, neutralising the vibrations that essentially allows it to absorb bumps better and handle better at the same time.

It can also explain vehicle functions, provide status updates on things like the vehicle’s oil level and help detect warnings.
The intelligent system is also able to pick up on the driver’s habits and preferences and will adjust the vehicle to suit the driver’s preference. BMW will continue to add new capabilities to the new all-new 3 Series with seamless updates performed via Remote Software Upgrade.
