Samsung Introduces New Trio Of Lifestyle TVs For 2020

Samsung aims to target both home cinema enthusiasts and those who demand the latest connected lifestyle TV.

Innovation and modernity are absolutely essential in defining a product that will grace your living room. Samsung Malaysia Electronics is aware of this necessity, hence it has announced three new lifestyle TVs: The Sero, The Serif and The Frame, which will all be available soon.

While traditional TVs focus heavily on the delivery of the best picture quality, performance and technical features, TVs today are lifestyle platforms that blend with a consumer’s life. To reflect this the three new Samsung offerings will offer new digital services and creative new designs that enhance the customer’s experience.

THE SERO

Taken from the word “vertical” in Korean, The Sero has the unique ability to pivot between horizontal and vertical orientations – just like a smartphone or tablet. Using this feature, The Sero is able to seamlessly connect with a user’s mobile devices and naturally display content in both horizontal and vertical formats. This makes the screen well suited for those looking to enjoy mobile content from their social media channels such as Instagram, YouTube, TikTok among many others.

Samsung has not forgotten that having a modern design is essential for a TV to stand out in any space. Understanding this, The Sero features a range of different display options that allow the user to customise this cutting-edge TV from Samsung to their liking when it is not in use.

The use of top-level QLED technology displays with 100% colour volume by Quantum Dot, while providing a new approach to home entertainment with seamless connectivity that meets the needs and habits of the growing mobile viewing audience.

All this combined together from its innovative design and functions, has earned The Sero the CTA’s “Best of Innovation” prize at CES 2020. Apart from that, it received an esteemed gold award at the iF Design Awards, one of the world’s most celebrated and valued competitions, that acknowledges design excellence around the world.

THE SERIF

The Serif is an aesthetically-focused TV that was made in collaboration with the Paris-based design brothers Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, two of the world’s most famous industrial designers that specialize in furniture.

The previous version of The Serif TV was awarded the prestigious 2016 iF Design Award, the 2016 Wallpaper* Design Award in the UK and the 2016 Good Design Award in Japan – making it the first Samsung TV to win these prestigious accolades.

The latest 2019 Serif TV also comes with cutting-edge QLED technology that delivers realistic visuals. Magic Screen, an award-winning feature in Samsung’s QLED lineup, provides valuable information such as news headlines, weather updates, and the time. It also has the ability to display imagery and blend into any living space by recreating the pattern of your wall on screen.

THE FRAME

The Frame is another innovative TV from Samsung that doubles up as a digital piece of art when it is not used as a TV. With over 1,200 masterpieces to choose from, it is akin to browsing an art store filled with the world’s most renowned paintings and pictures. Indeed, you can turn your everyday living space into an art gallery.

Yet another great feature built into The Frame is its Adaptive Picture function which analyses a room’s lighting and automatically adjusts the screen’s brightness and contrast to best suit viewing under those conditions.

This year’s model of The Frame also features the pristine picture quality of QLED, which offers realistic colours in dark and bright scenes with 100% color volume by Quantum Dot. Besides that, the Dual LED technology also increases contrast based on its backlight temperature for optimal colour tones. With these enhancements, users can enjoy content with the most realistic visuals while appreciating artwork when the TV is turned off.

The Frame also features multiple voice assistants which consists of Bixby (Samsung’s AI-powered voice control platform), Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant; transforming it into a truly Smart TV. Users can control the TV and access streaming platforms through whichever preferred voice commands, giving users an enhanced content experience.
