MINI Malaysia has unveiled the All-Electric MINI Paul Smith Edition, a limited special edition that brings two iconic British names together in a bold, design-driven package. Available in the exclusive introductory colours Inspired White and Statement Grey, this model marks a new chapter in MINI’s long-standing collaboration with British designer Paul Smith.
Benjamin Nagel, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia, described the edition as “a meeting of two iconic British brands that have been pushing creative boundaries for decades.” He added that it combines MINI’s values of individuality, creativity, and playfulness with Paul Smith’s signature ‘Icon with a Twist’ design philosophy, now reimagined for the electric age.
Brit Vibes
The exterior of the MINI Paul Smith Edition immediately signals its unique identity. Key design touches include Nottingham Green accents on the side mirrors, octagonal radiator grille, hub caps, and roof, complemented by the Paul Smith Signature Stripe along the roof edge. The 18-inch Slide Spoke alloy wheels in Dark Steel, finished in Nottingham Green with the Paul Smith logo, add a dynamic flair. Even the mirror projection welcomes drivers with a friendly “hello” in Paul Smith’s handwriting, setting the tone for a personal and playful experience.
Inside, British elegance meets thoughtful detailing. The Nightshade Blue JCW Sports seats, upholstered in Vescin with Shadow Stripe patterns on the shoulders and headrests, are paired with a decorative black leather band and blue stitching across the instrument panel. Door sill covers carry the uplifting phrase “Every day is a new beginning!” while embroidered floor mats feature Paul Smith’s signature rabbit motif. A textile band on the steering wheel and three exclusive backgrounds for the MINI Interaction Unit further enhance the bespoke interior experience.
Electrifying Performance
Performance remains quintessentially MINI. The electric motor produces 218 hp and 330 Nm of torque, propelling the car from 0–100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, with a top speed of 170 km/h. Agile handling and a low centre of gravity deliver the brand’s signature go-kart feeling. The 54.2 kWh battery supports a zero-emissions range of 387–402 km and DC fast-charging brings it from 10 to 80 per cent in under 30 minutes.
The introductory colours pay homage to MINI’s heritage. Inspired White is a modern take on the classic Pepper White, while Statement Grey evokes the 1959 MINI Austin Seven, offering a confident and timeless appeal.
With the All-Electric MINI Paul Smith Edition, MINI Malaysia delivers more than just an EV; it presents a playful, stylish, and sustainable urban driving experience that celebrates nearly three decades of creative collaboration.
