McLaren 750S Le Mans Edition Is A Tribute To Racing Royalty

A sculpted tribute to a historic motorsport debut

Celebrating both heritage and performance, McLaren Automotive has unveiled the 750S Le Mans Special Edition, marking the 30th anniversary of its victorious debut at the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans. With only 50 units destined for discerning collectors worldwide, this limited-edition supercar is a masterclass in design-led homage—elevated by the brand’s renowned MSO High Downforce Kit (HDK).

First seen conquering Le Mans on 18 June 1995, the McLaren F1 GTR #59—piloted by JJ Lehto, Yannick Dalmas and Masanori Sekiya—etched its name into motorsport history. Now, three decades later, that spirit lives on in the 750S Le Mans, a track-focused evolution of McLaren’s lightest and most agile series production supercar.

Track Credentials

At its core lies the M840T 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, mid-mounted within a carbon fibre Monocage II structure. But it’s the car’s commanding visual identity that truly sets it apart. Finished in Le Mans Grey—with McLaren Orange as an alternative nod to the marque’s iconic racing palette—the exterior design is intensified by the HDK.

Key features include a sculptural Gloss Black Active Rear Spoiler, enlarged carbon fibre splitter, and a meticulously detailed under-wing panel with gloss black louvres. Collectively, these design attributes deliver a 10% increase in downforce.

Design cues pay subtle tribute to the victorious F1 GTR. Five-spoke LM wheels, F1 Gold brake callipers with red McLaren logos, and Gloss Black Carbon Fibre Roof Scoop lend motorsport authenticity, while fine touches such as wheel centre caps in red and blue, and Le Mans exterior branding, add a collectors’ allure.

Inside, two bespoke interior themes await: Carbon Black Alcantara with Dove Grey or McLaren Orange accents, both accented by softgrain leather and Le Mans debossed headrests. Each vehicle features a dedication plaque, and an optional track record plate commemorating the 1995 victory and McLaren’s rarefied Triple Crown status.

“This exclusive 750S is the first Le Mans edition since the F1 LM to feature HDK enhancements,” notes Henrik Wilhelmsmeyer, McLaren’s Chief Commercial Officer. “It embodies not only a storied past but an exhilarating future as we return to the top class of Le Mans in 2027.”

With its arresting design and motorsport lineage, the McLaren 750S Le Mans is a collector’s dream—a statement in speed, precision, and reverence for racing’s greatest stage.
