With all that China has to offer, it’s not strange to find yourself travelling there on more than one occasion every year, whether for business or leisure. And outside of the capital of Beijing, you can find other vibrant and lively cities that have their own charm to set them aside from the appeals of the capital city. These locations are what hotel chains are tapping into, and the Hyatt Hotels Corporation are setting their eyes on China in the coming year with at least five new properties opening in the country in 2020. While we wait for official news on the opening of the three other properties in the list, schedule a stay at these two new Hyatt properties that have recently opened their doors.

02 HYATT REGENCY HENGQIN

Over on the southern part of China in Guangdong Province, the Hyatt Regency Hengqin opens in Zhuhai. Located in the fast-growing Greater Bay Area of southern China, the new Hyatt Regency stands tall amongst other attractions in the area. Covering 40,440sqft of space, the hotel houses 493 rooms, of which 55 are suites, and what will soon be an impressive list of six food & beverage venues. The Hyatt Regency is part of the Novotown complex, allowing guests close proximity to unique experiences in the city such as the National Geographic Explorer and Lionsgate Entertainment World.

Designed to be accommodating to both business and leisure travellers, rooms are decked out to provide a sense of natural comfort so guests feel at home. For more privacy, book a room with the Regency Club for access to the club lounge and a range of amenities to make your stay as comfortable as possible. For food, make your way to La Cucina, the hotel’s Italian and European restaurant. For a wider variety Market Café and The Lounge will let you sit down to live-cooking displays and a selection of specialty drinks.

Later on in the year, Hyatt Regency Hengqin will welcome three more establishments, which are the Cantonese-cuisine focused, hawker-style restaurant Xiang Yue; the barbeque and cocktails al fresco venue Pool Pavilion; and the rooftop bar on the 23rd floor, for wine, cigars and music with a 180 degree view of the city. The hotel also houses the must-have 24-hour fitness centre and swimming pool (both indoor and outdoor), Flo Spa that employs water-based spa treatments and organic products, as well as Camp Hyatt for the little ones. Flo Spa and Camp Hyatt is set to open in spring of 2020.
