Collectors can finally get their hands on one of the top five oldest whiskies, the Glen Grant 72 Year Old, which will be going up for auction. The final allocation of 50 bottles, from a run of 290, will be made available after Chinese New Year on 3 February at GBP50,000 per bottle.

From Gordon & MacPhail, a fourth-generation Urquhart family founded in 1895, the whisky was recently awarded the “Scottish Single Malt Whisky of the Year – 2022”, named the World’s Finest Single Cask and given a 97.5/100 in the Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2022.

The Scottish bottler and distiller made headlines last year for releasing the oldest malt whisky in existence, a 1940 Glenlivet bottled at 80 years old, which was sold at Sotheby’s.
