They call it â€˜The Beast of the Green Hellâ€™, not because of its stunning paint job but because the Mercedes-AMG GT R spent most of its development time on the NÃ¼rburgring racetrack, which is nicknamed â€˜The Green Hellâ€™. Built specifically to burn rubber on the racetrack, the GT R is the new spearhead of the AMG model range, going from 0 to 100km/h in 3.6 seconds, with a top speed of 318km/h. Packing in an AMG 4.0-litre twin-turbo engine, everything from the steering to the suspension has been tweaked to give you the best times on the racetrack.

The interior, too, is inspired by motorsports: AMG Performance seats comes as standard, while extremely light, manually adjustable AMG sports bucket seats upholstered in nappa leather and DINAMICA microfiber are available as an exclusive, track-focused option. Also standard is the AMG Interior Night package, where the shift paddles, steering wheel bezel, door sills and boot cross member are finished in high-gloss black, which combines with the standard-specification AMG Interior Piano Lacquer package to further emphasise sportiness.
