After the success of its urban sanctuaries in Tokyo and New York. Aman’s latest urban sanctuary opens its doors in Bangkok. Nestled in the green enclave of Bangkok’s Nai Lert Park, Aman Nai Lert marks the Aman brand’s second property in Thailand, 37 years after the debut of Amanpuri.

In collaboration with the Nai Lert family, who owns the park, the location of the 36-storey Aman dates back to 1915. With 52 suites and 34 branded residences, a global Aman Club and a spacious 1,500 square metre Aman Spa and wellness centre is one of the most highly anticipated luxury openings of the year.

Bringing a new standard of ultra-luxury hospitality to urban settings, the property stays true to Aman’s design ethos by drawing on the local cultural narrative, with history playing a key role.

The Park Heritage Home was built by Phraya Bhakdinorasreth “Nai Lert”, a visionary entrepreneur who helped shape modern Bangkok. As for the space, Belgian architect and interior designer Jean-Michel Gathy lends his aesthetic style to the property, bringing a timeless elegance and a sophisticated take on high-end living.

The art installations here are worth a visit in themselves. A 12-metre-tall tree sculpture with 6,000 gold leaves that transition from gold to black, inspired by the park’s century-old Chamchuri tree, can be admired through a triple atrium on the ninth floor. Elsewhere in the lobby, an installation of 3,000 spinning tops forming the Thai numeral one (), symbolising greatness, which speaks to the Nai Lert legacy, blends seamlessly into the space.

The hotel also boasts some of the largest suites in Bangkok, beginning at 94 square metres with floor-to-ceiling windows. The Signature Suites are the hotel’s largest yet most discreet spaces.

The 114-square-metre Terrace Suite comes with an exclusive open-air lounge. But for those who yearn for a long-term stay, the residential-style Aman Suite is the jewel in the crown, spanning an entire floor over 713 square metres, with three bedrooms, alongside an entertainment room and private spa.

Adding to Bangkok’s burgeoning culinary scene is the Italian restaurant Arva, which is renowned for its emphasis on fresh, seasonal ingredients, as well as the adjacent 1872 bar, named after the birth year of patriarch “Nai Lert”.

Meanwhile, in-house guests and residence owners can experience two new dining concepts from Aman on the 19th floor, which serves as a dedicated space for Aman Club Founders. Sesui is a masterful sushi omakase experience, and the second Hiori is an immersive teppanyaki counter.

The spa also features a Medical Wellness by Hertitude Clinic, providing advanced treatments such as cryotherapy, IV therapy and bespoke wellness programmes.

The new opening marks a milestone in Aman’s global expansion, with a line-up of new properties coming up in both urban and remote destinations.

Aman Nai Lert Bangkok is committed to supporting those impacted following the earthquake in Myanmar on 28 March. As a result, the hotel will donate a portion of the proceeds from every stay in April to charities assisting those in need.
