In a city renowned for its hospitality offerings, a new property’s arrival can sometimes get lost in the shuffle. But the arrival of METT in Singapore has undoubtedly garnered attention. And for good reason too.
Nestled within the lush surrounds of Fort Canning Park, where heritage whispers through century-old trees and the rhythm of the city hums just beyond, the luxury property brings a new expression of laid-back luxury to Asia Pacific.
As the first METT property in the region, joining its sister hotels in Marbella, Bodrum and Barcelona, METT Singapore is more than a hotel. It’s a lifestyle destination, living up its promise of being a place for travellers and locals to connect, recharge, and enjoy a sense of effortless wellbeing in an extraordinary heritage setting.
A Storied Landmark
Occupying a heritage-listed building with roots dating back to 1926, METT Singapore honours the past while embracing the present. Once royal grounds and a cultural landmark, the site has been thoughtfully reimagined by renowned designer Jeffrey Wilkes, blending colonial charm with modern comfort across 84 elegant rooms and suites.
Interiors are light-filled and serene, with high ceilings, soft textures, and sweeping views of the surrounding greenery. From the generous 35 sqm Deluxe Rooms to the expansive 160 sqm Fort Canning Suite, each space is designed for both calm and connection. Just steps away, guests can flow from padel matches at sunrise to a dip in the pool, a moment of stillness in the spa, or a vibrant dinner with friends.
Culinary Concepts That Bring People Together
At METT, dining is a social ritual and a celebration of food, flavour and community. Led by celebrated chef Daniele Sperindio, the property introduces several distinct culinary experiences.
Guests can enjoy elevated coastal Italian cuisine at L’Amo Bistrò del Mare, or gather for artisanal cocktails and conversation at the lively Canning Bar & Lounge. Coming soon are two headline additions: Art di Daniele Sperindio, an intimate fine-dining concept, and HANU, a bold reinterpretation of the Korean grill experience.
Each venue reflects METT’s core philosophy: that life is best lived around the table, where stories are shared and time slows down.
Wellbeing, Elevated
Wellness is at the heart of METT Singapore. The hotel features two outdoor pools, padel and pickleball courts, a state-of-the-art gym by Technogym, and boutique studio classes ranging from Reformer Pilates and Aerial Yoga to TRX and Barrecore.
Thoughtfully designed changing areas include sauna, steam, and cold plunge facilities — providing private sanctuaries for recovery and reflection.
Opening later in 2025, Madison House will introduce The Longevity Suite, a science-led wellness space offering advanced treatments such as cryotherapy, biohacking and holistic therapies — a first in the Asia Pacific region.
Designed To Host And Inspire
Whether it’s an intimate retreat or a grand celebration, METT Singapore offers versatile event spaces — including a spectacular ballroom for up to 800 guests. “We’re creating more than a hotel,” shares General Manager Marcel Li.
“METT Singapore is a state of mind — a place where connection, joy and wellbeing come together, with the energy of the city and the calm of nature at your doorstep.”
