The worlds of filmmaking and high jewellery coalesce in The Phoenician Scheme. The orchestrators of this recent collaboration are none other than Cartier and Wes Anderson. In the filmmaker’s latest cinematic adventure, the French jewellery crafted a bespoke high jewellery creation exclusively for the film.
The Phoenician Scheme, which premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, sees Cartier’s enduring romance with cinema glittering once more. This time around, the brand undoubtedly found a fitting collaborator for this new creative venture.

As one of Hollywood’s most regarded directors and filmmakers, Wes Anderson is renowned for his distinct visual style. With his keen attention to costumes and wardrobes, deliberate colour patterns and flat space camera shots, he brings cinematic elements to life on the screen in his own indomitable way.
For his latest effort – The Phoenician Scheme, Cartier helped Wes Anderson tell his story with a highly- bespoke piece. More than just a storyline prop, the mesmerising special-order Rosary lies at the heart of this cinematic spectacle.

The bespoke rosary lies at the centrepiece of this visual storyline serving as a narrative motif, echoing themes of heritage, faith, and mystique. Designed by Cartier and imbued with symbolic richness and visual splendour.
Crafted in white gold, the one-of-a-kind piece is adorned with briolette-, rose- and square-cut diamonds, emerald beads, and ruby cabochons — each element selected for its historical and aesthetic resonance. The cross, which stands at 5.48 cm in height, suspended from a 78.5 cm chain, and plays a pivotal role within the film’s intricate narrative.
A Link To Film
This exquisite collaboration marks a new chapter in Cartier’s celebrated relationship with the world of film. Over the years, the Maison has contributed iconic pieces to screen and stage alike — from recreating archival jewels once worn by Maria Callas, to adding a touch of sparkle to Ocean’s 8, and designing custom high jewellery for Timothée Chalamet’s Wonka press tour.
Through this latest cinematic endeavour, Cartier once again asserts its role as a patron of the arts, blending high jewellery with the magic of storytelling. The result is a seamless fusion of luxury and narrative, where fine craftsmanship not only dazzles but deepens the emotional texture of the film itself.
As The Phoenician Scheme continues to captivate audiences worldwide, Cartier’s luminous creation stands as both a visual centrepiece and a testament to the Maison’s ongoing dialogue with the seventh art.
