Gordon Ramsay Bar and Grill recently launched their Business Lunch Menu, Choose from a 2 or 3-course lunch for a truly luxurious dining experience.

During our recent visit, we went straight in for a scrumptious 3-course lunch which started with a great selection of freshly baked bread to go with beef bone marrow butter. Although the urge to have a second bread roll was overwhelming, we resisted so as to not feel too full before the main course arrived. In detail the beef bone marrow butter, lovingly melted into the warm crusty bread and the soft insides soaked up the butter with each delightful bite.

A great meal always starts with perfect bread and butter. Without further ado, let’s try the starter.

For Starters

Butter-Poached Lobster.

We opted for the Butter-poached Lobster, which was an additional (RM70). Fresh lobster was served with caviar, hearts of palm puree, fennel gremolata and picked kumquat. The meal got off to a splendid start with a refreshing dish of expertly cooked lobster that was simply perfect. The accompanying sauces were meticulously crafted to perfectly complement the delicate flavours of the succulent lobster, without overpowering the dish. The dish was light, allowing the natural essence of the lobster to shine through, providing an unforgettable culinary experience that tantalized the taste buds. Every bite was a celebration of the finest ingredients and the artistry of the chef.

Aged Beef Tartare.

Two other options available are the Chilled Pea Soup and the crowd favourite Aged Beef Tartare. The Beef Tartare goes highly recommended served with egg yolk confit and game chips.

The Main Course

My choice for the main course was undoubtedly the Beef Tenderloin, which came with an additional charge of RM100. I requested it to be cooked medium, and it was served with a side of sauteed spinach, winter truffle, and truffle jus. The beef was cooked to perfection, tender and succulent, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture.

Unlike many Wagyu cuts that can taste overwhelmingly fatty, this lean and meaty cut was bursting with the natural flavours of the beef, making it the perfect choice for those who appreciate the taste of quality meat. In my opinion, this was by far the best main course selection, leaving me with a lasting impression of Gordon Ramsay’s Bar and Grill. I’ll most definitely have to return to try their famous Beef Wellington.

Grilled Ora Salmon.

For those seeking alternative main course options, the menu also featured the Spicy Mushroom Lasagna and Grilled Ora Salmon, which did not disappoint. The salmon was particularly noteworthy, featuring a perfectly grilled fillet adorned with a crispy layer of chicken skin that added an extra dimension of crunch and flavor to the dish. In all honesty, all the dishes on the menu were stunning, making it nearly impossible to make a wrong choice.

Cheese Selection.

I could not resist the temptation of the cheese selection on the menu. I was served a selection of two cheese, the Bleu d’Auvergne and Sainte-Maure de Touraine. Which were served alongside a delectable caramelized honey gel and walnut-apricot crouton. The cheese selection was truly superb, with each variety perfectly aged and bursting with flavours. The accompanying croutons were equally delightful, which complemented the creamy cheese and sweet honey gel. In hindsight, I wished they served more of the croutons (I was served 2 pieces) to savour the cheese selection for longer.

Classic Citrus Tart and Knickerbocker Glory.

For those with a sweet tooth, the dessert menu offers delightful options. The Classic Citrus Tart, served with Raspberry Sorbet, provides a refreshing and tangy finish to the meal. Alternatively, the Knickerbocker Glory, a dessert that Chef Ramsay personally taught me how to make (check out the video here), is a true showstopper.

Featuring layers of Mango, Coconut Sorbet, Fresh Cream, and Almond Flakes, this dessert is a symphony of flavours and textures that will leave you wanting more. Not only is it exceptionally delicious, but it’s also ideal for sharing, making it the perfect way to cap off an unforgettable dining experience. While both desserts are exceptional, I highly recommend giving the Knickerbocker Glory a try.

An Unforgettable Dining Experience

No culinary experience is complete without the perfect sides, and in this case, I highly recommend trying the Butter-glazed Heritage carrots with honey saffron dressing (RM55) and Pomme Puree (RM40). The Heritage carrots, glazed with butter and dressed with a honey saffron dressing, offer a burst of sweetness and an aromatic flavour that pairs perfectly with the main course.

The Pomme Puree, on the other hand, is a heavenly rendition of mashed potatoes that are expertly whipped to a velvety smooth consistency, creating a luxurious and indulgent side dish that complements any main course.

Gordon Ramsay’s  Business Lunch menu is priced at RM188 for 2-courses and RM228 for 3-courses. There is an additional charge for some items on the menu.

If you’re looking to treat yourself or take someone special out for lunch. Gordon Ramsay’s Bar and Grill Business Lunch menu doesn’t disappoint.
