In light of the Movement Control Order (MCO), BMW Group Malaysia has introduced two new online platforms: BMW Shop Online and BMW Engage in an effort to digitalise its full premium ownership experience for its customers in Malaysia.
The premium automaker is banking on the new online platforms to drive its Unplug & Play campaign by offering online-exclusive offers for its BMW 530e Sport and BMW 530e M Sport.
The BMW Shop Online is a fully digital platform that enables customers to experience a digital showroom experience from the comforts of their home. Among the models they will find in this digital space include the BMW 530e M Sport, BMW 530e Sport, the All-New BMW X6 as well as the All-New BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe. The automaker hopes to eventually include the full portfolio of every BMW model on the platform.
The ‘Unplug & Play’ online-exclusives found on BMW Shop Online offers cash rebates from MYR10,000 and MYR20,000 for the BMW 530e Sport and BMW 530e M Sport respectively, with an interest rate of 0.00% for both models. New owners can also look forward to receiving a BMW i Wallbox when booking the BMW 530e Sport online.
Additionally, online booking of both these models equips owners with the BMW ChargeNow card, which grants them access to charging stations like ChargeEV by Malaysian Green Technology Corporation as well as 24/7 support and access to all charging locations in ChargeEV’s growing networks with more than 270 charging facilities nationwide. New owners of the BMW 530e M Sport will also receive the BMW i AC Fast Charging Cable.
These online-exclusive offers will be available until June 30th, 2020.
Complementing the BMW Shop Online is BMW Engage, an online financing platform introduced by BMW Credit (Malaysia), that enables customers the flexibility to apply and get pre-approval for their financing from home via a seamless application process.
BMW Group Malaysia’s Managing Director Harald Hoelzl said BMW continues to provide a seamless ownership experience to its customers during the MCO period. Though they are unable to physically serve customers at their dealerships at the moment, they hope that they will enjoy their digital offerings and continue to do so in a new era of mobility once the MCO is lifted.
