Tudor, the edgy sister company of Swiss luxury watch brand Rolex which was started in 1946 by founder Hans Wildorf, has officially signed on international superstar Lady Gaga as its newest global ambassador. The pop phenomenon joins international soccer superstar David Beckham and the legendary rugby team All Blacks in Tudor’s growing list of influential ambassadors
Born in New York, the infamously daring artiste first hit the music scene with her first studio album, ‘The Fame” that was released in 2008, while her hit debut single “Poker Face” has topped charts in almost every category. Her follow-up effort, ‘The Fame Monster,’ was nominated for six Grammys. Over the years, Lady Gaga has evolved into a bona fide superstar which includes a collaboration with the legendary singer Tony Bennett and even a stint on the American Horror Story series where Gaga won a Golden Globe for her role as the Countess.
In a statement, Tudor stated that it chose Lady Gaga not just for her iconic style but also for her philanthropic work which involves empowering youth through her Born This Way Foundation as well as speaking out against fur and in support of LGBT causes. As for her collaboration with Tudor, Lady Gaga will appear in a new ad for the Swiss watch brand’s rebellious ‘Born To Dare’ campaign while donning Tudor’s latest vintage-inspired novelty: the Tudor Heritage Black Bay Red.
