ROGER DUBUIS EXCALIBUR HURACÃN PERFORMANTE
In approaching this watch, Roger Dubuis set out to create a movement that would be to horology what the supercar engine is to the motoring industry. And what resulted is the RD630, an engineering feat of an automatic calibre, powered by twin barrels and featuring a balance wheel with a 12° angle.
A total of 233 components make up this movement, which also houses a 60-hour power reserve, all contained in a 45mm case. Racing imagery abound as this particular calibre is made in partnership with Lamborghini Squadra Corse (which explains the name) and features racing design elements like a strut bar bridge, a rotor reminiscent of a rim and a Pirelli tyre pattern on the rubber inlay Alcantara strap.
