Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph

This new Premier line from Breitling probably isn’t something novel for most watch enthusiasts but, for us, what we think is really interesting about the collection is that it represents a new and exciting direction for the brand. Over the course of the years, Breitling’s oversized pilot’s watches have overshadowed its reputation for almost anything else. However, with a new CEO on board, Breitling is on track to change that perception and this Premier line represents just that.

The design of the Premier B01 Chronograph takes its cues from the same Breitling line that was first introduced in the 1940s. However, it has been updated to suit modern tastes with a larger 42mm stainless steel case. Additionally, the dial is clean with dual register subdials, one for the chronograph minute counter and the other for the small seconds display. And of course, they are nicely contrasted with the panda colour scheme.

The movement should be familiar to most Breitling fans: the Calibre 01 was fully developed in-house by the brand, and has gained a reputation as one of the finest mechanical watch movements in the world, offering a chronometer certification along with a long power reserve of 70 hours.
