Omega Seamaster Diver 300M

Celebrating 25 years of existence is a good a time as any to re-design an icon and that’s exactly what Omega did with its Seamaster Diver 300M. The first thing fans will notice is that the watch is now larger at 42mm. This is a good, considering that it allows more room for the dial, which is by the way, a thing of beauty. The dial, whether its blue or black, practically gleams in the sunlight as it is made from polished ceramic. And, as ceramic is a material designed to be near impervious to scratches, the iconic wave pattern had to be laser engraved onto the surface. Naturally, with the ceramic dial, all the indices are also raised and filled with Super-LumiNova, giving the watch the appearance of utmost elegance.

At its core, the Seamaster Diver 300M is still a watch made for professionals (if it can withstand everything that was thrown at James Bond, we’re sure it’s made to last), which is reflected in the more legible diving bezel – now in ceramic with the scale in Ceragold or white enamel. The new Calibre 8800 housed within is Master Chronometer certified, instantly taking the collection into a higher realm of precision, performance and magnetic resistance.
