Girrard-Perregaux Laureato Chronograph
Over the past two years, the Laureato has been doing wonders for Girard-Perregaux. And for good reason: it is a watch that goes back a long way for the brand. Initially launched in 1975, the Laureato was resurrected in 2016 much to the delight of avid collectors of the brand.
This year, it was a natural progression for the Laureato collection to offer a reference with a chronograph and the result is a stunning tri-register chronograph in the signature Laureato styling. This means a polished octagonal bezel fitted on an integrated case, no lugs or loops, and, of course, that beautiful dial bearing a Clou de Paris hobnail motif.
The case comes in two sizes – 42mm and 38mm – in a wide variety of dial colours. Instead of the standard stainless steel, the Laureato Chronograph uses 904L steel, which is distinguished by its high chromium content that has high corrosion resistance properties and is exceptionally radiant after polishing. Additionally, there are 18k pink gold variants as well.
The movement is a 435-part automatic chronograph movement with a frequency of 4Hz and a power reserve of 46 hours.
