Corum Golden Bridge Rectangle Joachim Horsley

When two rule-breakers come together, you can bet that the results are going to be something truly unexpected. The partnership between Swiss watchmaker Corum and composer Joachim Horsley, both of whom have a passion for combining the classic and modern, has produced quite an interesting Golden Bridge watch indeed.

Joachim Horsley has composed film scores for Dreamworks productions, arranged songs for Michael Bublé and John Legend, and performed on stage with Ben Folds, but, for this watch, Corum has focused on Horsley’s ability to reinterpret Beethoven’s 7th Symphony with a Cubaninspired arrangement. The video he put up on his YouTube channel racked up 10 million views in six months. This watch will be the first from Corum to feature a metallic decoration on its sapphire caseback, depicting an extract from the original score of Beethoven’s 7th Symphony.

To celebrate this new partnership, Corum also teamed up with Reuge to offer a unique case that comes with the watch. The case doubles up as a music box and plays three melodies personally arranged by Joachim Horsley: compositions by Bach, Mahler and Beethoven reinterpreted as rumbas or with Cuban-inspired beats.
