IWC Schaffhausen
This is a very special year for IWC. 150 years since Florentine Ariosto Jones founded the International Watch Company and to reward the fans and more importantly collectors of the brand, they have launched 28 new references, each in limited quantities, and each with lacquered dials. The new Tribute To Pallweber Edition ‘150 Years’ took a pocket watch designed by Josef Pallweber in 1884 for IWC and re-interpreted it for the modern age. Already at the time this concept of jumping minutes and hours in a digital display was considered extremely unorthodox and after 4 years of R&D, IWC has modernised this concept. Apart from the very brilliant theatrical display as each minute jumps, there is also a very tactile click when it happens, a click that felt extremely satisfying to the wearer, a.k.a. me.
