Piaget
When we saw the record broken for thinnest automatic watch at Baselworld last year, we knew it was only a matter of time before Piaget, a brand renowned for the slimness of its Altiplano watches, would step up its game. And indeed this year Piaget has reclaimed the title of world’s thinnest with the new Altiplano Ultimate Automatic 910P. As with the 900P, this new movement also uses the case as a baseplate for the movement. But where the 900P was hand wound, the 910P uses a clever peripheral rotor automatic winding system to shave off precious milimetres of thickness.
