Officine Panerai
On the surface, the Lo Scienziato from Officine Panerai looks like just another tourbillon watch, but once you pick it up, everything changes. The watch is much lighter than you would expect it to be, and the secret to this comes from the fact that the movement is surrounded by a hollow case. Yes, the case of the Lo Scienziato is hollow and in fact, the way Panerai managed to achieve this was by 3D printing the entire thing in titanium. 3D printing of the case means it is built up layer by layer thus allowing it to be hollow in certain parts.
