Mercedes-AMG ONE Service Hub Unveils A New Home For Hypercar Expertise In Malaysia

Bringing specialised servicing for the Formula 1-derived hypercar to Southeast Asia.

The engineering behind the Mercedes-AMG ONE extends well beyond its headline performance figures. With a hybrid powertrain derived from Formula 1, the road-legal hypercar combines a 1.6-litre turbocharged V6 engine with four electric motors to produce a system output of more than 1,063 hp. Maintaining a machine of this complexity requires specialist equipment, technical knowledge and servicing procedures tailored to its engineering.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has established a dedicated Mercedes-AMG ONE Service Hub at Hap Seng Star Bukit Tinggi, making it the first facility of its kind in Southeast Asia. The RM2.2 million investment adds Malaysia to a select international network supporting the hypercar, of which just 275 units were produced worldwide.

Rather than a conventional performance-car workshop, the facility is designed around the specific requirements of the AMG ONE, from high-voltage systems to vehicle-specific diagnostics. Its establishment also brings specialised aftersales support closer to owners across Southeast Asia.

Engineering Beyond The Ordinary

The AMG ONE’s hybrid system presents distinct maintenance requirements. Its combination of combustion and electric propulsion demands particular attention to high-voltage safety, diagnostics and manufacturer-approved servicing procedures.

The Bukit Tinggi facility is equipped with specialised high-voltage tools, dedicated diagnostic equipment and controlled working and storage conditions. Its technicians have completed Mercedes-AMG-specific training and certification, qualifying them to carry out approved diagnostic, maintenance and service procedures for the vehicle.

Direct technical coordination with Mercedes-AMG specialists in Affalterbach, Germany, provides an additional channel of expertise when addressing the car’s specialised engineering requirements.

These capabilities are important for a vehicle produced in such limited numbers. Maintaining it depends not only on workshop equipment but also on access to the appropriate technical knowledge and procedures. The new hub establishes that dedicated capability within the region, reducing the need to look beyond Asia for this category of specialised support.

Malaysia’s Regional Role

The service hub will work alongside the existing Mercedes-AMG ONE facility in Japan to support owners across Southeast Asia and the wider Asia-Pacific region. Malaysia’s transport connectivity and established automotive logistics infrastructure underpin this regional function.

Its proximity to Mercedes-Benz Parts Logistics Asia Pacific in Malaysia also supports the coordination of components required for maintenance and repairs. While parts availability and servicing times will vary according to individual requirements, the arrangement provides a regional foundation for managing specialist service needs.

Additional provisions include technical specialists who can offer on-ground assistance, liaison officers for international customers and digital systems for diagnostic reporting and service communication.

For owners of the AMG ONE, these operational details form an important part of the ownership equation. The car’s Formula 1-derived technology may define its performance, but preserving that engineering over time requires a dedicated support network.

With the new Mercedes-AMG ONE Service Hub, Malaysia takes on a specialised role in that network, bringing the infrastructure and expertise required to maintain one of Mercedes-AMG’s most technically ambitious road cars closer to its regional owners.
