Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Masters of Time

The Master Control collection returns

In 1992, the ‘1,000 Hours Control’ quality procedure made its debut in the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control collection. The in-house certification comprised of a six-week programme of radical tests to ensure the watches are reliable and precise under every condition imaginable, leading to the production of some of the finest watches ever seen.

To celebrate 25 years of excellence, Jaeger-LeCoultre has unveiled three new models: the Master Control Date, Master Chronograph and Master Geographic. These modern-day avatars are given a vintage-inspired treatment, featuring stunning sector dials shaded with touches of navy across the skeletonised baton hands, blued stainless steel central seconds, in the complications and the minute circle. The stately blue statement of these wristwatches is completed with an alligator strap of the same deep hue.

03 MASTER CONTROL DATE

Simple yet elegant, the 39mm automatic watch is a fine timepiece. The skeletonised baton hands point to the hours and minutes imprinted on an opaline and circular satin-brushed finished dial, while an aperture at 3 o’ clock shows the date. Turning the watch over reveals the Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 899/1, fitted with a 22K gold oscillating weight visible through a sapphire crystal caseback.
