Hublot teams up with British electronic trio Depeche Mode to release a limited edition collection

A question of time.

Since its formation in 1981, Depeche Mode have sold over 100 million records worldwide, earning them the distinguished title of being one of the most influential, beloved and bestselling musical acts of all time. As a tribute to this incredible achievement in musical history, Swiss luxury watchmaker Hublot has released a new limited edition series featuring the iconic Big Bang Unico model that will raise funds for the non-profit organisation charity: water, which provides clean drinking water to people in developing countries.

“The Singles” Collection features just 55 unique pieces, which correlates with the number of singles that have been released by the band. Displayed on the dial of each 45mm model is a disc that partially shows an image of the record cover it represents, while the caseback features the entire cover of the single as well as the charity’s logo. Both of these elements have also been imprinted on the sapphire of the glass that protects the Calibre HUB1242 automatic UNICO movement that comes equipped with 72 hours’ power reserve. Enhancing the rock-and-roll aesthetic of the timepiece is the perforated strap that displays rubber studs and is colour specific to each model.

Lucky owners of the timepiece will also be gifted a corresponding vinyl single, a certificate of authenticity from Hublot and a limited-edition Roland JP-08 synthesiser that pays homage to the legendary Roland Jupiter 8 synth used by Depeche Mode through the years. The entire set also comes housed in a cabin size Topas Stealth suitcase in anodised black aluminium created by luggage manufacturing experts Rimowa.

“We are greatly honoured and moved by hublot’s support of charity: water with this new collection of watches commemorating all of our singles.” – Martin Gore, Depeche Mode.
