Since it was first launched in 1975, the Girard-Perregaux Laureato models have garnered many admirers through its great in-house movements, fantastic history and iconic design. Thus, it was requisite for the models to make an appearance for the watchmaker’s grand 225th anniversary last year. Bolstered by the support for the handsome limited-edition Laureato 2016, Girard-Perregaux gives the ladies a special treat with the release of the new Laureato 34. At a slim 34mm in diameter and 7.75mm thickness, the newest Laureato model wraps its leather strap or metal bracelet perfectly around a woman’s wrist. Presented in satin-brushed steel, 18K pink gold or even both at once, the Laureato 34 comes with a silver-toned, slate grey or blue dial adorned with the signature Clou de Paris hobnail motif.
For those seeking a little extra sparkle, the Laureato 34 also comes studded with 56 dazzling diamonds in varying sizes to cover every bit of space on the bezel. As the Laureato of past, the 2017 model is also powered by a solid quartz movement.

It was also remarkably a quartz watch – a testament to Girard-Perregaux’s role as an important pioneer in quartz technology, being the very first to offer a movement compact enough to equip ladies’ watches.
