03 BEYER CLOCK AND WATCH MUSEUM

Nestled in the basement of Switzerland’s oldest watch shop, located in Zurich’s world-renowned shopping boulevard, the Beyer Clock and Watch Museum can best be described as a tribute to the fascinating history of timekeeping. For a mere CHF8, one will be able to explore over 300 exhibits comprising primitive timekeeping devices as well as elaborately decorated vintage clocks and watches sourced from all over the world and from all epochs. One can expect to spend plenty of hours viewing the numerous fascinating objects in this unique museum, which include gnomons, sundials, oil-clocks, hour-glasses, clepsydras, long case clocks, table clocks, pocket-watches, wrist-watches as well as scientific instruments for measuring time and for navigational purposes.
