Chopard Unveils New Mille Miglia Watches At 2025 Rally As Official Timekeeper

Timeless precision at the legendary classic rally

Once again, the heart of classic motorsport beats in unison with haute horlogerie as Chopard took its place at the starting line of the Mille Miglia. For the 38th consecutive year, the Swiss maison returns as World Sponsor and Official Timekeeper of the fabled Italian rally — an enduring partnership that speaks to Chopard’s unwavering passion for precision, performance, and provenance.

Described by Enzo Ferrari as “the most beautiful race in the world”, the Mille Miglia weaves through Italy’s most scenic byways in a 1,000-mile loop from Brescia to Rome and back. It is here, amid a fleet of over 400 storied vehicles, that Chopard Co-President Karl-Friedrich Scheufele once again joins the cavalcade — this time with his son, Karl-Fritz, at his side.

Together, they pilot the family’s beloved ‘metallic strawberry’ Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing, a sight as timeless as the maison’s most treasured timepieces.

Classic Cars, Legendary Run

For Scheufele, who competes this year for the 37th time, the Mille Miglia represents more than just a race. It is a living dialogue between two worlds: vintage motoring and modern watchmaking. Throughout the rally, Chopard’s paddock at the edge of town and its refined exhibition space in Piazza Vittoria provide a sanctuary for enthusiasts to admire the newest editions — a perfect blend of pistons and precision.

As the competitors traverse Verona, San Marino, and the historic streets of Rome, the Mille Miglia proves once again that luxury lies not just in craftsmanship or horsepower, but in enduring passion — a quality Chopard continues to embody, both on the wrist and on the road.

Chopard Mille Miglia GTS Power Control – 2025 Race Edition.

This year, the race sets the stage for the debut of two exceptional creations from the Mille Miglia collection. At the forefront is the Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph Tribute to Sir Stirling Moss — a limited edition of just 70 pieces in honour of the 70th anniversary of Moss’s record-shattering 1955 victory.

Clad in luminous Lucent Steel and measuring 40.5 mm across, the chronograph is a masterclass in heritage-inspired design, fused with cutting-edge precision. Its mechanical heartbeat pays tribute to the remarkable endurance of Moss and his co-driver Denis Jenkinson, whose average speed of 97.96 mph remains unmatched.

In parallel, Chopard introduces the Mille Miglia GTS Power Control – 2025 Race Edition, a bold statement in contemporary horology. With a salmon-hued dial, 43 mm Lucent Steel case, and COSC-certified 01-02-M movement, this GTS marks ten years of the Grand Turismo Sport line.

Designed for the gentleman driver, it is an emblem of sophistication and stamina — whether racing across the Raticosa Pass or arriving at a candlelit villa dinner.
