Leave it to Bulgari to craft three new creations to adorn and celebrate the regal and charming diva. The maison puts the diva of the animal kingdom – the peacock – in the spotlight in three new models of the Divas’ Dream collection. The Roman jewellery interprets the peacock – pavone in Italian – three ways by placing it in the centre of the Divas’ Dream dial. The watch is inspired by the fan-shaped mosaics of the Caracalla thermal baths, which also portray the fabulous bird.
While the first version sees the representation of the night with an aventurine glass backdrop, the second seizes the day with an elegant mother-of-pearl background underneath diamond stars. Both versions hold a 37mm case, with the first sporting a white gold case, and the other a pink gold one. The two models are also fitted with a blue alligator leather strap and driven by a manufacture-developed, mechanical self-winding movement.
Three’s a company, after all, with the third version of the Divas’ Dream taking on a more complex and sophisticated mechanical manual-winding skeleton tourbillon calibre movement. The fusion of a major horological complication with exceptional artistry is exactly what makes this watch truly a dream come true. This combination brings out the light and transparency, thanks to its fully chased and openwork movement, and the diamond setting and hand-painted peacock motifs paint a unified picture in which the bird is integrated into the openworked finishing that can be seen through the two sapphire crystals. With its complex engineering as well as visual quality, the Divas’ Dream is both a creation to behold for both connoisseurs and art lovers alike.
