A. Lange & Söhne has recognised that luxury sports watches have become a mainstay trend within the watch industry and its response is its new timepiece the Odysseus Datomatic.
Much like the Greek hero that it takes inspiration from and his famous long odyssey, this piece represents a new journey and direction for A. Lange & Söhne as looks to make its mark in the luxury sports watch segment.
The Saxony-based watchmaker has certainly put its best foot forward with its latest piece, capitalising on its obsession with detail that resulted in a new and sophisticated design.
It is with this insight that A. Lange & Söhne made the Odysseus Datomatic as a watch that looks at home whether you are in the boardroom or on the beach. The Odysseus Datomatic happens to be the first watch from A. Lange & Söhne to feature a water-resistant case and screw-down crown. This makes it suitable for leisure activities such as hiking, swimming and sailing.
There is no mistaking that the Odysseus Datomatic carries A. Lange & Söhne design language with its 40mm round case that almost seamlessly melts into the date and day windows accompanied by lancet-shaped hour and minute hands that ensure information is easy-to-read even in dark conditions.
Nestled inside is an all-new L155.1 Datomatic automatic-winding movement that is touted to have greater shock resistance and has a 50-hour power reserve.
A. Lange & Söhne has listed the Odysseus Datomatic with a recommended retail price of EUR28,000 (MYR129,900).
