The Bulgari Octo Tourbillon Sapphire by Bulgari looks like a watch straight out of a sci-fi movie. The dial and movements are skeletonised with luminescent green bars set on the bridges to serve as hour markers, brilliantly offset by the inky black DLC treated titanium case and rubberlined alligator strap. These DLCcoated bridges, adorned with ITR2 and Super-LumiNova, also hold up the Caliber BVL 206 mechanical manualwinding flying tourbillon movement that lies at the heart of the 44mm timepiece. A smart time-setting indicator is also incorporated into the movement: a red dot appears in a tiny aperture at 3 o’clock when the crown is pressed, signalling that the time can be set by simply turning the crown. When the desired time has been selected, the crown is pressed again and the red dot vanishes.
