Royal Selangor Is Hosting Eco Week This June

Experience two weeks of sustainability-focused activities.

Royal Selangor has officially launched its Eco Week campaign; a two-week initiative aimed at promoting environmental awareness through engaging and educational experiences. Taking place at the Royal Selangor Visitor Centre from 13 to 29 June, the campaign underscores the company’s continued commitment to sustainability.

The launch event was officiated by Y.B. Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad and featured a press conference with Dato’ Yong Yoon Li, Managing Director of Royal Selangor, and David Mizan Hashim, Vice President of RIMAU. The campaign seeks to foster community engagement with environmental issues and inspire positive change through creativity and education.

Eco Week 2025 offers a wide-ranging programme of activities designed to appeal to visitors of all ages. Highlights include interactive exhibitions on environmental awareness and Royal Selangor’s eco-conscious practices, such as the development of eco-composites. Families can participate in hands-on workshops promoting sustainable living, while younger visitors will enjoy a dedicated kids’ colouring corner showcasing Malaysia’s endangered wildlife.

Visitors can also take part in the Eco Trail Hunt, a treasure-hunt-style activity within the Visitor Centre. By completing all seven questions, participants will earn an instant reward, adding an element of fun to the learning experience.

Panel discussions featuring NGOs and environmental advocates will tackle pressing issues in wildlife conservation, offering insights into ongoing efforts and challenges. Meanwhile, the Eco Graffiti Wall invites guests to contribute to a collaborative, nature-themed mural—blending artistic expression with environmental messaging.

Weekends will feature special eco-themed crafts, including Tote-ally Wild on Saturdays (14, 21 & 28 June) and Seed Paper Art on Sundays (15, 22 & 29 June), running from 10am to 4pm. Royal Selangor’s Eco Week is a reflection of the brand’s ethos—that craftsmanship and creativity can play a key role in driving meaningful conversations around sustainability and responsible living.
