In a remarkable show of solidarity and generosity, Aviation Sans Frontières (Aviation Without Borders) will take centre stage at a prestigious charity auction. Hosted by Artcurial, the event takes place on 18 June, Coinciding with the Paris Airshow (16-22 June) at Paris-Le Bourget Airport.
The auction, to be held at 7pm and led by renowned auctioneer Stéphane Aubert, will raise funds for the NGO’s latest and most ambitious humanitarian initiative: the world’s first hospital-plane. Designed to bring vital medical care to remote and underserved regions, this miniature airborne hospital aims to be a game-changer in global health logistics.

Actor and pilot José Garcia will lend his support to the event, which promises a line-up of extraordinary items and once-in-a-lifetime experiences donated by celebrities, athletes, artists, and aviation professionals.
Among the standout lots is a weightless flight aboard the Airbus Zero G, offering bidders the rare chance to experience true zero gravity. Another major highlight is a mission-worn T-shirt from astronaut Thomas Pesquet, a tangible piece of space history.

For adventure enthusiasts, the auction includes paramotor flights with migratory birds and the opportunity to fly in a Curtiss P-40E Warhawk, a legendary Second World War aircraft. Equally compelling is a dinner in Paris with explorer Bertrand Piccard, accompanied by a fragment of the Breitling Orbiter 3 balloon in which he completed the first non-stop circumnavigation by balloon.

The auction also features rare collectables such as a 1/10 scale wooden Falcon wind tunnel model donated by Dassault Aviation, a Messerschmitt KR200 microcar famously used by comedian Coluche, and a specially engraved Breitling Pilot’s watch.
Those who are not attending the Paris Airshow can still bid in the charity auction as the auction proceedings will also be carried out online plus buyers can also bid via telephone.

For over four decades, Aviation Sans Frontières has provided vital air support for humanitarian missions worldwide, including medical evacuations, the transport of aid and personnel, and youth outreach programmes. Supported by 800 volunteers and partners such as the Red Cross and World Food Programme, the organisation continues to demonstrate how aviation can be a force for good.
