A swarm of 350 drone units flew in perfect formation throughout the light display, leaving attendees in awe. The drones took on several forms, including the Bulan Bintang logo, their Malay traditional clothing, and a UFO spacecraft. What’s more, the brand’s show scale outnumbered other international brands that have conducted light shows in Malaysia, including Disney and Cartier.

SKYMAGIC: Drone Light Shows flew all the way from the United Kingdom to make the performance possible. Previously, they have gained extensive experience programming drones for the FIFA World Cup and Tokyo Olympics. Additionally, the crew was assisted by 33.3 Studio, a Malaysian team led by Edwin Raj and Zulamran Hilmi. They were in charge of overseeing all production activities on the ground. Evidently, these two were major contributors to the success of the light show.

Moreover, Azzim stated that overseas drone shows inspired him to integrate this into his event in Malaysia. The formation alone cost him about 80% of the whole event cost, totalling nearly RM2 million. Nevertheless, the outcome was spectacular.

A fashion show took place on a grand scale outside the KL Tower. Local actresses Nabila Huda and Sherry Alhadad hosted the event, and the girl group DOLLA kicked off the event with an opening performance. In addition, the event also featured a projection mapping of the KL Tower rendered by local motion graphic designer, Azarikh Amran.
