The WEMP Foundation and Naked Heart France recently collaborated on a charity event in Hong Kong hosted by Adrian Cheng, founder of The WEMP Foundation and Natalia Vodianova Arnault, founder of Naked Heart France, to raise vital funds in support of children’s mental health issues around the world — a critical and often overlooked cause in today’s society.
Both organisations are deeply committed to making a positive impact for this cause, by amplifying their efforts to create a world where families affected by children’s mental health issues, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and Special Education Needs, can feel understood, accepted and supported. This, in turn, provides a way to inspire a brighter future for all children.
“The realities of children’s mental health demand our attention and action. Through comprehensive support and interventions, we can transform lives and empower every child to overcome obstacles. I believe that addressing children with special needs requires collective action and collaboration.
“By joining forces with Naked Heart France for The Children Ball, we magnify our impact and extend our reach for children and families most in need, globally,” says Adrian Cheng, founder of The WEMP Foundation, Hong Kong’s first non-profit organisation dedicated to the mental wellbeing of underprivileged children and families.
The Children Ball – A Night of Infinite Hearts took place on the 21st of March at the Rosewood Hong Kong and was co-hosted by Natalia Vodianova Arnault who founded the Naked Heart Foundation in 2004. Since then, the foundation has provided support to 24,700 children and young adults with special needs and their families.
“It is our common mission – both of Naked Heart France and WEMP – to show the whole world that all children matter – with or without disabilities; that all children have something to offer; that no matter where they’re from or what they look like or what language they speak, they have a place in this world. A world which recognises, understands, and values all children, and where they, and their families, when there is a need, receive the services and support they require throughout their lives,” she says.
The event featured an array of experiences designed to engage esteemed attendees to raise funds for children’s mental health initiatives. These include various forms of philanthropic giving, a live auction, supported sponsorships, table sales and direct donations.
It was also a star-studded affair, attracting celebrities such as Hong Kong’s actor power couple Carina Lau and Tony Leung, award-winning actress Gong Hyo-Jin, and Fan Bingbing.
