The Davidoff Chefs Edition 2025 Blends Culinary Genius With Cigar Craft

A limited-edition collection crafted by Michelin-Starred Chefs.

What happens when some of the world’s most celebrated chefs step out of the kitchen and into the cigar atelier? For Davidoff, the result is nothing short of a masterpiece. Returning for its fourth iteration, the Davidoff Chefs Edition 2025 brings together culinary visionaries and tobacco artisans to create a one-of-a-kind cigar experience.

A refined celebration of taste, balance, and innovation, this year’s limited edition was co-created by five globally renowned chefs. Impressive nonetheless, these culinary geniuses collectively hold 11 Michelin stars between them.

They include Paolo Casagrande (Lasarte, Spain), Christian Bau (Victor’s Fine Dining, Germany), Kirk Westaway (Singapore), Nick Bril (The Jane, Belgium), and Michael Beltran (Ariete, USA). Each brings a signature style known for its freshness and finesse –  a theme that carries through in the cigar’s flavour profile.

A Culinary Collab Worth Savouring

While fine dining and handmade cigars may seem like separate worlds, they share the same DNA. Each presents a dedication to craft, exceptional ingredients, and the pursuit of sensory pleasure. It’s this philosophy that underpins the Chefs Edition, first launched in 2016 and now regarded as a collector’s gem among aficionados.

In 2025, Davidoff and its chef collaborators have elevated the concept once more, using rare tobaccos, including a Dominican San Vicente leaf aged for 15 years, and a Dominican Piloto aged for five years using the traditional Yagua method, marking a first for Davidoff. Wrapped in fibrous palm leaves, this ageing technique enhances the tobacco’s smoothness, sweetness, and complexity, bringing a new layer of nuance to the blend.

Lightness With Layers

True to Davidoff’s White Band Collection, the Chefs Edition 2025 leans into elegance rather than intensity. From the first draw, you’ll experience notes of cayenne pepper and whipped cream, followed by floral complexity from the Yagua-aged tobacco.

As the cigar develops, flavours of rosewood, leather, lemon zest, and subtle spices unfold with finesse. The final third crescendos into coffee, oak, and fresh spice, offering a 60–80-minute journey that’s as captivating as any tasting menu.

Form Follows Flavour

Davidoff Chefs Edition Cigars

The presentation box mirrors the concept beautifully. Crafted from solid wood, with recessed grooves to cradle each of the ten toro cigars, and a natural marble inlay resembling a chef’s chopping board, it is undoubtedly a remarkable vessel. Most importantly, it tributes the culinary inspiration behind the blend impeccably doubling as part humidor, part art piece.

The Davidoff Chefs Edition 2025 is available at select Davidoff Appointed Merchants, flagship boutiques, and premium cigar retailers worldwide. Quantities, as always, are limited. However, for cigar lovers with a taste for haute cuisine — or food lovers with a fondness for fine cigars — this release is a rare meeting of minds, palates, and passions. A cigar to savour, share, celebrate and of course, covet.
