Dubai Chocolate Chef

The culinary genius behind the viral Dubai Chocolate has unveiled his latest creation. Renowned Dubai-based patissier Chef Nouel Catis, celebrated for creating the pistachio kunafa is now bringing his confectionery artistry to Oman this summer in a deliciously unique collaboration with Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara.

From now until 31 August 2025, guests at the luxury beachfront resort can indulge in a limited-edition chocolate creation that captures the essence of Salalah’s rich heritage and tropical landscape. The Anantara Khareef Chocolate is a culinary tribute to the Dhofar region, blending frankincense, a prized local resin, with a sweet coconut katayef mixture, resulting in a delicately aromatic treat.

Exotic Flavours

Served exclusively at Al Mina, the resort’s breezy Mediterranean-inspired beachfront restaurant, the chocolate bar is priced at OMR 6 and promises a journey of taste that speaks to Oman’s cultural and culinary identity.

Complementing the chocolate is Chef Nouel’s Coconut Malva Cake, another nostalgic delight making its debut at the pop-up. With its warm, syrupy texture and subtle tropical notes, the cake adds a layer of homely charm to the elevated dessert offering.

Now leading his own brand and sister company Sna’ap, Chef Nouel has long been at the forefront of the region’s luxury confectionery scene. His reputation for blending local flavours with global trends was solidified with his viral Dubai Chocolate creation, which has gone to achieve a cult-like status.

“We are delighted to welcome Chef Nouel Catis to our tropical paradise for this exclusive collaboration,” said Andrea Orrù, General Manager of Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara. “His ability to infuse local elements with global culinary trends perfectly aligns with our commitment to offering guests truly unique and memorable experiences during the Khareef season.”
